We believe that all families are entitled to community involvement and resources.

 

Training

We provide these culturally sensitive services
in English and Spanish:

  • Information and referral to community services
  • Education on disability awareness and law, communication skills, assertiveness, life skills, community resources, and transition planning from one age group to another
  • Advocacy to resolve problems related to educational, legal, housing, health, recreational, employment, career development, and public assistance
  • Support services to remove barriers in accessing services, including spanish interpretation and translation and monthly emotional support group meetings

Weekly meetings
(every Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)

Meetings for youth with low income and disabilities and their siblings to increase their social skills.

Meetings include:

  • snacks,
  • life skills,
  • training, and
  • a movie.

Monthly outings
(dates announced at weekly meetings)
